Casamajor was one of the
Travancore residents during the reign of Swathi Thirunal. We have the following
information from the internet (www.brookmans.com/history kasamajor.shtml)The
Casamajors were a family of Spanish origin, claiming descent from the royal
house of Cadiz, and had settled in Bristol and founded the English branch
of the family by the late 18th century. There were Casamajors also in London
and they were working for the East India Company and the Casamajor merchants
of Tacking, living at Potterells were James Archibald Casamajor and his daughters,
Jane and Elizabeth, these being another branch of the Casamajor famly.James
Archibald Casamajor, b. 1787, E.I.C.S., resident at Mysore and Travancore,
had three daughters. His co-heirs, (1) Jane, m. 1844, William – Willoughby,
3rd Earl of Enniskillen; (2) Mary, m. 1839, StephanRam. Esq., of Ramsfort;
and (3) Elizabeth, m. 1841, Robert WM. Gaussen, Esq., of Brookmans Park, Herts.
