Kriti on Shiva of Sucheendram, Tamil Nadu.

I offer my obeisance to Lord MAHESVARA, who wears a crescent moon. You are adored by BRAHMA and others.
Your neck is adorned with great many serpents as garlands. You are the most worshipful deity of the city of SUCINDRA.
Your body is made doubly fair by the smearing of the sacred ash. You dwell on the banks of PRAJNA TIRTTHAM. In the front yard of the temple is the beautiful tree KONRAI (Cassia Fistula). You nourish the devotees. You destroy even the heinous sins. Your smile is soft and tender. You are clad in skin. You are surrounded by BHUTAGANA-s. You have the incomparable glory of purifying INDRA. You are the beloved of AMBIKA.
You are in the company of SASTA and GUHA. You always adore VINAYAKA, who has elephant like face. The sacred bull serves both as your attendant and as your mount. Your speech is gentle. You give joy to all celestials. You are the refuge of the world. You sport river GANGA on your head. You are sought after by serene sages. Your feet are worthy of being meditated upon. You joyously bestow good fortune. You with the eye of your forehead burnt Cupid. You are to the demon TRIPURA what snake is to the air. You are the object of worship for the celestials. Your face resembles the moon. You have the snake VASUKI as girdle. Your teeth shine like jasmine buds. Your presence adds beauty to mount KAILASA. The temple 'car festival' is the most widely celebrated one, by the people of the world. Your form is exquisitely beautiful. You are kind to those who prostrate your feet. You give joy to Lord PADMANABHA.
