Sl. No.59; Deva maamayi; Kedara gaula; Chaapu; Keerthanam; Saanskrit.
Artist:
Sri Ambalappuzha Vijayan.
Note:
This is a keerthana on Subramanya of Harippad (see the reference to "Hari Geetha Puram"). Popularised by Dr. M. Balamurali Krishna (Cassette from Sangeetha, "Sri Padmanabha").

Oh Lord SHADANANA! One who sports the splendid peacock as the mount! The valorous one! I worship you, Please protect me!
One who dispels the miseries of all those who worship! You are the beacon light of the SRIHARIGITA temple (HARIPPAD temple).
One who destroyed the demon TARAKA. One who excels the majestic gait of the elephant; brimming with the essence of compassion; one who has the glory being born in the lotus. You are to the hearts of your devotees what bees are to lotus.
The favorite son of Lord SIVA! KUMARA! One who destroyed the clan of wicked demons; your auspicious exploits are unfathomable like the ocean. Nephew of the progenitor of Cupid-the SRIKRSHNA. Oh benevolent Lord!
The commander-in-chief of the celestials; you are most charming; one who delights in protecting the hapless. You are dear to SRI PADMANABHA; whose exploits excels that of Cupid in amusing goddess LAKSHMI.
