Sl. No.236; Pari paahii ganaadhipa; Saaveri; Aadi ; Keerthanam; Saanskrit.
Artist: Dr T M Bhavana.
Note:
This is the only Krithi on Ganesha by Swathi. Some believe this to be his first composition. Swathi's reference to Ganesh as "Pankajanabha bhaagineya", the nephew of Padmanabha is amusing.

Oh Lord of GANA-s! Effulgent one! Protect me.
You are the sole refuge of those who surrender at your feet. Your graceful face is like that of an elephant.
You are son of Lord SIVA whose head is adorned with the pleasing crescent moon. You remove all wicked elements. Your glory is sung by BRAHMA and other celestials. Your lotus-like feet grants all the desired wishes of the devotees in totality.
You are surrounded by a swarm of bees, which are attracted by the great flow of ichor(rutting juice) from your face. [like the bees hovering around the ichor exuding from the head -MASTAKA-of an elephant in rut, so too the devotees throng to you]. You hold a brilliant tusk in your hand. You possess all the great virtues, you have a mouse for your vehicle. You are the brother of GUHA. You are the peerless Lord.
You are the nephew of Lord PADMANABHA, who purifies all. You bestow on your devotees, knowledge, prosperity, and happiness.
Oh compassionate Lord! Please protect us.
