Dr K. Omanakutty.
Note:
This composition is an answer to Swathi critics who remark that his compositions are just a clever play of words. This is one of the "njana vairagya" compositions. This philosophical piece, sadly, hasn't become popular in kucheri circuits.

Without a cause there can be no action, that too ordained by Lord KANJANABHA.
Your form is gorgeous and blue like the ocean. You are the remover of the miseries of your multifarious devotees.
Oh the Lord of Universe! KARMA-action is the cause for birth; the cause of knowledge is learning; cause for ego is wealth; young damsels cause enticement; deviation from the right path causes destruction. Worries cause ailments, righteousness causes true wealth.
Seed is the cause of tree; valor is the cause of victory; abject poverty reduces one to supplicate before the wicked; virtuous conduct results in compassion; fickleness causes many a difficulty in this world.
The controlling the mental and physical senses is the direct result of following the scriptural injunctions; the timely rain is the cause of all vegetation; the sun is the cause of removing darkness; oh beloved of RAMA! Lotus-eyed Lord! your feet are the sole cause of my happiness.
